 This is for all you meatball lovers out there.  The perfect left over lunch after a night of spaghetti and meatballs.  The sandwich itself is very simple to make but we are going to show you how to make Sean’s dad’s signature meatballs and sauce from scratch for that perfect dinner the night before.

 Here’s what you’ll need:


1 Brioche Bun

Shaved Parmesan

Mozzarella Cheese 


1 lb Grass Fed Lean Ground Beef

5 Slices of Whole Wheat Bread

2 Free Range Organic Eggs


2 Cans Hunts Tomato Sauce

2 Cants Hunts Tomato Paste

1 Garlic Clove

Sauce time.  First grab a large pot and set the heat to medium.  While you’re waiting for the pot to heat up, go ahead and start mincing your garlic.  After, add a few tablespoons of olive oil and your garlic to the pot.  Saute the garlic for a few minutes to get some flavor going.  Next we are going to add the tomato sauce and paste.  The trick here is that after you pour the sauce/paste in the pot, fill each can with water and add that to the pot as well.  You should be adding 4 cans full of water by the time you’re done.  Top it off with some salt and pepper and turn down the heat to simmer for about 30 minutes.

Next its time for the meatballs.  Grab a large mixing bowl, your 1 lb of ground beef, your eggs, and the slices of wheat bread.  Start by removing all of the crust from the wheat bread and once finished add your eggs to the mixing bowl.  Next you’re going to combine the ground beef and wheat bread in the bowl to start mixing by hand.  The bread is going to help bind the meatballs together so make sure to mix them both very well.  Once everything is mixed evenly, start packing and rolling your meatballs into tight balls that are about double the size of a golf ball.

Now that your meatballs are all rolled to perfection and ready to go, its time to start cooking.  Grab a large frying pan and let it heat up to medium heat.  Once heated, add a few table spoons of olive oil and fit as many meatballs in the pan as possible.  The key is to find a pan large enough to fit all of your meatballs inside to save a little more time.  Cook the meatballs for about 5 minutes then flip them over and cook them for an additional 5 more minutes on the other side.  Once finished, add your meatballs to the sauce that you’ve been simmering and let the sauce and meatballs simmer for another 45 minutes together in harmony.  Grab a glass of wine, sit back, and relax while the flavors of heaven combine.

Like we said earlier, its good to prep these bad boys the night before and enjoy some spaghetti and meatballs.  The burger is the perfect leftover lunch the next day but it’s all up to you!

For the Burger: 

The burger is fairly simple to build.  Heat up a small pan and add some coconut or olive oil on medium heat.  Once heated, go ahead and slice your brioche bun and set them face down for a minute or two until crisp.  Next, take your meatballs, place them on the bottom bun, and add some of the sauce.  Add a layer of sliced mozzarella and sprinkle some shaved Parmesan on top as well.  Simple as that! Now enjoy every bite of you hard work, you deserve it.
